About me
Johannes Stöckl received his PhD in physics from the Technical University of Vienna in 2003 on ion-surface interactions. After research visits at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (USA), Humboldt University (Germany), Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives and Grand Accélérateur National d’Ions Lourds (France), he joined Infineon Technologies in manufacturing and technology transfer of power semiconductors, where he spent three years in Kulim (Malaysia). Then he developed novel IGBT technologies until he joined AIT Austrian Institute of Technology as Thematic Coordinator for power electronics in 2011. There, he works on grid connected converters for renewable energies for low voltage and medium voltage power electronics including novel control methods for grid forming and rapid prototyping.
