About me
Professor Robert Stala received M.S., Ph.D and habilitation degree from AGH University of Krakow, Poland in in 1998, 2003 and 2011 respectively. He was awarded the title of professor in 2021 and he is currently employed as a Full Professor at the AGH University of Krakow, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering, Department of Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Systems.
He was employed at dtw sp. z o.o. (currently SMA Magnetics) and he is the author of several patent publications of SMA Solar Technology.
His scientific interests include research on the implementation and optimization of power electronic converters in the area of topics such as contactless electrical energy transmission, photovoltaic systems, multilevel inverters, research on the technology of switched capacitors in power electronics, design of converters with GaN transistors for optimization of system volume, implementation of integrated circuits with GaN transistors for converter design optimization, FPGA-based real-time simulation. Currently, he conducts research on converters with a high degree of voltage conversion dedicated to supplying low-voltage loads (≤1V), such as microprocessor systems with low-voltage grids, such as 48V DC systems.
