B4 Limits sp. z o.o.
About
B4 Limits Sp. z o.o. (B4L), headquartered in Białystok, Poland, is a Polish defence technology company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) and Radio Frequency (RF) jamming systems. The company has more than a decade of hands-on experience in jamming technologies and extensive experience delivering solutions for military and security applications.
B4L’s engineering team has been developing expertise in RF jamming since 2015, initially through projects delivered for external partners. This work provided extensive practical experience in designing, integrating and deploying jamming systems across a broad range of platforms and applications used by NATO and partner nations, as well as specialised security and protective services.
Building on this experience, B4L began developing its own proprietary technologies in 2021. This work resulted in the Defender family, introduced in 2024. Defender systems are fully Polish-designed, developed and manufactured EW solutions providing wideband operation with real-time reactive, semi-reactive and active jamming capabilities.
The primary application of Defender is Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS). The technology can also be adapted for site protection, critical infrastructure security, correctional facilities and the control or mitigation of unwanted or unauthorised RF communications.
Proven Operational Effectiveness
B4L’s technological maturity and operational effectiveness have been demonstrated through extensive testing, military exercises and evaluations in Poland and internationally, including activities involving NATO structures and Allied Armed Forces.
Key results include:
-
Anakonda ’24 – effective defeat of loitering munitions, achieving a result superior to three competing systems.
-
NATO NCIA Baltic Trust ’25 – highest-rated solution among 16 competing EW systems in a real-world operational scenario.
-
NATO ACT Innovation Continuum 2026 – selected as one of only five participants in the Electronic Warfare domain from 27 submitted solutions.
-
Tarcza Wschód Trials ’26 / Drone Wall – first place among eight significant international EW solutions.
-
Bundeswehr Trials ’26 – Bergen / Erndtebrück – system recommended for implementation.
-
Polish Armed Forces Trials ’26 – Wędrzyn / Lipa / Ustka / Wesoła – system recommended for implementation.
-
Czech Armed Forces Trials ’26 – Hradiště – system recommended for implementation.
-
NATO LCIX / NCIA Baltic Trust ’26 – first place among 11 competing jamming systems based on UAV operator assessments. B4L was also part of the winning C-UAS team, achieving first place among four participating teams.
Defender systems provide high-speed response to rapidly changing electromagnetic conditions, with switching rates of up to 27,500 hops per second in reactive mode and 55,000 hops per second in semi-reactive mode.
Engineering and Development Capabilities
B4L was established on 12 June 2019 and currently employs more than 26 engineers and specialists, with 18 directly involved in the development of the Defender family, associated equipment and accessories. The team combines expertise in radio electronics, high-frequency design, digital systems, signal processing, FPGA technology and software development, including specialists holding doctoral degrees.
B4L combines laboratory R&D with intensive field testing and operational trials. This development model allows the company to continuously improve technical performance, reliability and operational effectiveness based on real-world scenarios and direct feedback from system operators.
The company also places significant value on operational experience gained from the employment of EW and C-UAS systems in the conditions of the war in Ukraine. Feedback from Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel provides an important input to the continued development of B4L technologies.
Technology Partner for Defence
B4L operates as a technology partner for established defence and security organisations in the European Union, Switzerland and the Middle East. Proprietary technology and in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities enable the company to rapidly adapt its systems to specific user requirements, integrate them with existing architectures and develop new capabilities in response to evolving electromagnetic threats.
