Barleti University

Founded in 2005, Barleti University (UniBa) is a private higher education institution in Albania that uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and operates in complete accordance with the Bologna Process. In order to promote European cooperation in strategically important fields like finance, law, business management, tourism, social and political science, education, sports, IT, architecture and design, and medical sciences, UniBa has pursued collaboration with local, regional, and western universities. It has also established cooperation agreements with European university partners. Additionally, the internationalization process is being aided by the mobility of students enrolled in bachelor's and master's programs as well as the interchange of faculty and administrative personnel. UniBa is moving forward with pursuing dual degrees in collaboration with European universities. UniBa's programs and courses, with their practical and entrepreneurial nature, are centered around the idea of equipping students for a competitive workforce. Across all evaluation pillars, including the integration of academic and scientific research, applied methodologies, educational practices, and training initiatives, UniBa has consistently attained the highest levels of evaluation and accreditation from both national and international accreditation bodies. This recognition underscores UniBa's commitment to nurturing and fortifying human capital in diverse spheres, ensuring readiness for challenges and competitiveness in the international arena. UniBa's mission is dedicated to attaining the highest standards of education while actively contributing to the advancement of a more competitive society. As an institution of higher education that transcends traditional boundaries, UniBa engages closely with prominent EU initiatives such as Erasmus+ and Creative Europe, IPA etc. Additionally, it collaborates with esteemed organizations including GIZ, World Vision, RCC, Terres des Hommes, Save the Children, and various UN agencies. Through collaborative efforts, UniBa plays a pivotal role in crafting, tailoring, and implementing policies aimed at educating and raising public awareness. The UniBa institutes in charge of leading these efforts are:

o BMG - Barleti Medical Group - Under this organization are our clinical health providers: an ambulatory care center, home health agency, and pharmacy. In addition to patient care, these sites can act as a living lab for innovative technological solutions.

o AIPA - Albanian Institute for Public Administration – It aims to become a research and innovation center dedicated to democratization, human rights, economic and social development in alignment with EU perspective.

o ADRIAPOL – Institute for Smart and Creative Growth - Its mission is to encourage creativity, intelligence, and growing development. The focus of the institute is entrepreneurship, competitiveness through growing capacities for sustainable startups and continues innovation.

o BIRD – Barleti Institute for Research and Development - Its mission is to develop into a multidisciplinary research center of excellence in the areas of science, technology, and economic growth.

o BARLETI SOCIETY - dedicated to wellbeing, education, sport, and tourism - Its mission is to enhance and promote tourism, sports, and recreation while also boosting societal health and wellness.

o YOUTH ACT - Center for Youth Activities - In its focus is the promotion of equal rights and youth participation in society
