Adaptive wearable-guided physical activity progression for chronic pain: seeking partners in personalised medicine and multimodal data integration
Clinician and researcher at Nimes University Hospital
Nimes, France
About
We are developing an adaptive, wearable-guided system to personalise physical activity progression for people with chronic musculoskeletal pain. Using multimodal data from wearables (accelerometry, HR, HRV, sleep) combined with patient-reported symptoms, our algorithm will dynamically adjust activity targets to improve safety, engagement, and long-term outcomes.
We are seeking European partners to build a strong consortium for personalised medicine calls. Ideal collaborators include:
• Clinical teams working in chronic pain or other chronic diseases where physical activity progression is key (cardiac rehab, oncology, metabolic conditions).
• Research groups specialising in multimodal data fusion, adaptive modelling, behavioural monitoring, or explainable AI.
• Teams in ethics, patient experience, or acceptability research.
• Industrial/digital health partners interested in co-developing patient interfaces or secure data integration tools.
We offer a robust clinical testbed in France (CHU Nîmes / Montpellier) and strong expertise in rehabilitation, movement science, and wearable analytics. Together, we aim to test and demonstrate a personalised, scalable solution for real-world rehabilitation.
