X-Patch: Proprietary patch for effective drug delivery inside the mouth

X-Patch: A technology designed to deliver drugs into the bloodstream through efficient adhesion to the mouth mucosa.

X-Patch is a self-adhesive patch for delivery of drugs inside the mouth. With its smart and novel design, the patch efficiently delivers the drug of choice directly through the oral mucosa and into the bloodstream - while still allowing the patient to go on with their everyday activities e.g., drinking, eating and talking with the patch secured. Delivery of drug is effective due to close adhesion of X-Patch to the mucosa, by protection of drug loss from washout by saliva, and by avoiding drug degradation in the gastrointestinal tract and liver.

A novel user-friendly reaction discovery platform for photoelectrochemistry applications

A reactor solution that seeks to make electrosynthesis more accessible for non-specialists while meeting the requirements of experts

Currently, there exists a major technical barrier preventing chemists from carrying out electrochemistry experiments, which has impeded the utilization of electrochemistry in large-scale chemical manufacturing. With our instrument we seek to democratize the field of electrochemistry and get more chemists involved through the introduction of an operationally-simple instrument with multiple functionalities that should just be to plug in the wall and get started with.

Greentech & Food

NanoFoodGuard

Kasper Okholm, Postdoc
Aarhus University

A dietary transformation including an increase in plant-based food is regarded as one of the most impactful actions towards climate change and the environmental footprint of food systems.
However, the plant-based food industry is facing problems ensuring food safety from harmful toxins such as the bacterial toxin cereulide.

While many of the plant sources, such as soy, cereals and nuts are not new to the food industry, the way in which they are applied or processed is new and poses real challenges to the industry to ensure food safety.
