Workshop 2: Broadening the Horizon: Pathways to successful and Large-Scale Organ-on-a-Chip Implementation

After a first insightful workshop in our three-part workshop series “Connecting Organ-on-Chip Innovators with End-users”, in which we explored how to engage pharma for Organ-on-Chip adoption, we are pleased to announce the second session!

On December 15th 11:30-13:00, we invite our Dutch Organ-on-Chip community to join us online for workshop 2. This time, we will broaden our view beyond big pharma.

Large-scale implementation of Organ-on-Chip technologies will not come from one route alone. In this session, we will explore opportunities with other end-users, such as CROs, biotech, smaller pharma and academia, and discuss what is needed for successful implementation in these settings. We will also explore how collaboration between these parties, Swiss Organ-on-Chip companies and Dutch innovators can pave the way for successful adoption in pharma.

The fastest route to Rome has certainly not been found yet. Join us to think along, share your perspective, and shape the best pathways together!

During this workshop, participants will: 

• Gain insight into the needs, priorities and decision-making processes of end-users beyond big pharma. 

• Explore requirements for validation, reproducibility, technology transfer and integration into existing workflows. 

• Discuss practical cases addressing implementation barriers, funding and collaboration models. 

• Identify concrete steps to strengthen their value proposition and develop partnerships with Dutch and Swiss end-users.

This third session will take place ahead of the CSEM Next Gen Organ-on-Chips & Organoids Workshop 2027 in Bern.
