Panel | Who Pays, Who Benefits and Who Invests? Building bankable regenerative agricultural pipelines across Europe. How do we finance transformation at scale?

Location:Innovation Stage

As regenerative agriculture moves from ambition to implementation, one question is becoming increasingly urgent: how can Europe finance transition in a way that works for farmers, food businesses, financial institutions and society? The shift requires more than individual projects or isolated incentives. It calls for connected financing models that recognise where value is created, where risk sits, and how benefits are shared across the value chain.

This flagship session will bring together financial actors engaged in regenerative agriculture across Europe to explore what is needed to build a stronger, more investable pipeline for transition. The discussion will look at the current landscape, the barriers limiting finance for farmers and value-chain partners, and the opportunities to align capital, incentives and market demand. It will also consider how financing conditions can better help farmers realise the full value of the crops, services and public goods they generate as they transition towards more resilient farming systems.
