Women in AI Austria is a non-profit association founded to strengthen diversity, inclusion, and fairness in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We build bridges across disciplines—spanning philosophy, sociology, law, IT, and data privacy—to ensure a well-rounded and human-centered approach to AI development. our mission: • Empower women and underrepresented groups in AI through networking, visibility, and community. • Promote Digital Humanism and a trustworthy, fair AI that respects human rights. • Address bias and discrimination in AI systems and highlight their societal and legal implications. • Provide education and training to build trustworthy AI competence. • Support research and policy work on both national and international levels. what we do: • Organize and contribute to events, workshops, and talks • Collaborate with academia, industry, and public institutions • Share knowledge via publications and outreach • Engage in policy and standardization efforts • Foster mentoring and expert networks
