archipelago

archipelago is an architecture and research practice based in Brussels, Leuven, Paris and Barcelona. We're a 140 strong, multidisciplinary organisation with a diverse portfolio of innovative and sustainable projects. Our research team is frontrunner in circular and climate adaptive design, often asked as practice-based expert in research projects, such as recently the development of Belgium's inter-regional sustainability tool GRO and the EU Horizon project Caring Nature. Next to our long experience in care projects, specifically hospitals, we're looking to explore other sectors such as offices, schools and currently with as strong focus on affordable housing. As part of the VLAIO Living Lab project 'Hybrid Living', we're developing a 'research by design' methodology that can be used for feasibility studies to develop circular and affordable housing. As part of the NEB Facility call, we'd be very interested to hear who else is working on the topic of circular and affordable housing.
