La Foresta brings together small scale cultural associations, multidisciplinary professionals, informal groups and active citizens working on adult education. Together we create formal and informal learning activities to work on questions of community cohesion, the agro-ecological transition, mental health as a commons and social innovation for community entrepreneurship.
On a daily basis we host and promote free access informal as well as formal activities that are participatory, convivial and low threshold: we grow food and cook, we make music and dance, we hike and explore, we draw and print, we imagine and create, we ask questions and seek answers through practice. The meaning of “community academy” is to built a place for the people of the community to pass on and further develop passions and skills, to learn and experiment sustainable alternative ways of living and learning.
We are part of the New European Bauhaus Demonstrator within the framework of the European Urban Initiative - Innovation Actions.
