WHO WE ARE

Habitech is an Italian non-profit cluster organization based in Rovereto, Autonomous Province of Trento. Established in 2006 and officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, we foster innovation in the construction and energy sectors by promoting business networks and integrated value chains. Our expertise spans over green building, energy efficiency, and smart technologies, with the goal of advancing a more sustainable built environment.

With a network of 120 members, including 111 companies—mostly SMEs—and 9 institutions such as RTOs, universities, and public authorities, we create synergies across multiple sectors. Our team includes a dedicated staff of environmental and green building experts, ensuring technical excellence in every project. As a non-profit, we reinvest 100% of our revenue into high-impact sustainability and innovation projects.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Over the years, Habitech has established itself as a leader in sustainable innovation, achieving key milestones that reinforce our commitment to driving change:

·        Certified B Corp (2014), JUST and EcoVadis. Benefit Corporation since 2022

·        Founder and promoter of Green Building Council Italia (2008)

·        Partner in 10+ EU-funded projects since 2013

At the European level, we are affiliated to ECTP (European Construction Technology Platform) to be at the forefront of R&I efforts and strengthen transnational synergies.We have also been recently recognized as NEB Advisors within the #NEBULA B4P project, contributing to the integration of NEB principles in innovation pathways. This recognition strengthens our role in supporting the implementation of sustainable and inclusive solutions aligned with the New European Bauhaus vision.

OUR TECHNICAL SERVICES

Our internal staff tackles sustainability from multiple perspectives guided by the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles. Our technical consultancy spans over the built environment and the corporate level, integrating the following services:  

·        Green Building Certifications: we introduced the LEED certification in Italy and gradually expanded our assessment services across a wide range of additional sustainability protocols. Currently, our expertise comprises BREEAM, WELL, WiredScore, Envision protocols and more. Furthermore, we manage nationwide a regional-rooted certification scheme, named ARCA, specifically intended for timber buildings and products; 

·        Decarbonization Strategies: we address decarbonization with a comprehensive set of services, including Net Zero Audits, Energy Audits, Building Life Cycle Assessment and Costing (LCA & LCC), and Corporate Carbon Footprint analysis to support companies in reducing their environmental impact. Moreover, we are recognized as a CRREM Service Provider (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitoring);

·        ESG & EU Taxonomy: we support the real estate to monitor, and integrate ESG strategies into their assets and operations, ensuring the compliance with the evolving sustainability regulations;

·        CSR & Corporate Services: our expertise extends to sustainability reporting, corporate training, and GREENMAP, the in-house programme tailored for the industry and manufacturing companies aiming to enhance their sustainability and circular performance;

·        EU-Funded Projects: we actively monitor EU funding opportunities, join project proposals as a partner, and contribute to collaborative efforts into research, development and innovation.  

EU FUNDED PROJECTS

Over the last decade, Habitech has been an active partner in 10+ EU projects, funded by different programmes, such as Intelligent Energy Europe, Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, and Interreg Alpine Space. Our contributions range from technical-environmental analysis for the built environment (based on the above-mentioned services), to cross-cutting and horizontal activities (stakeholder engagement, communication and dissemination, training, event design and coordination). 

Where possible, we capitalize on the experience of our cluster members, by involving them as beneficiaries, affiliated entities or end-users.
