About
HORIZON-NEB-2025-01-PARTICIPATION-01: The impact of common space on neighbourhood communities
The Commons – Ownership, Physical and Emotional Boundaries, and Policy for Access explores how shared spaces shape neighbourhood cohesion, identity, and inclusion. The project investigates the physical and emotional limits of access to common spaces, alongside the legal, cultural, and informal frameworks that govern them. Through co-creation, urban prototyping, and policy experimentation, we aim to generate new narratives and design principles for inclusive, equitable common space. Drawing on interdisciplinary expertise and diverse local conditions, we are actively connecting with complementary initiatives across Europe to enrich mutual learning and ensure the scalability of outcomes.
