Bottom-up social entrepreneurship for the co-creation of neighbourhoods
About
BILSP offers its expertise to consortia aiming to co-create inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven neighbourhoods through social entrepreneurship. We contribute with:
-
Facilitation of Participatory Living Labs: Engaging residents, especially vulnerable and marginalised groups (e.g. Roma communities, older people, unemployed youth), in co-designing local solutions that reflect real needs and cultural context.
-
Community Needs Assessment and Stakeholder Mapping: Applying both qualitative and quantitative methods to ensure interventions are inclusive, viable, and locally anchored.
-
Policy Analysis and Impact Evaluation: Monitoring social outcomes of neighbourhood interventions to generate evidence for scalability and policy learning.
-
Local Pilot Implementation Support in Bulgaria: We can facilitate real-life testing of co-created ideas in underserved urban areas, in collaboration with local authorities and community-based organisations.
We are looking to join consortia led by urban planners, design professionals, municipalities, or social economy actors who share the NEB vision and seek to combine aesthetics, sustainability, and inclusion through entrepreneurial action at neighbourhood level.
