About
The Basque Country has proven experience in implementing neighbourhood offices for urban regeneration that could serve as community nodes to test and evaluate particpatory processess specifically in vulnerable communities.
Currently the network of neighbourhood offices provides advice and support to neighbours as a One-Stop-Shop. These offices specialise in collaborating and communicating with vulnerable groups for urban regeneration projects centralising and coordinating procedures related to all stakeholders involved in the urban regeneration process: administrative paperwork, channelling of financial support, communication with the professionals carrying out the building renovation works, etc.
These offices were created under a H2020 project but they are now fully integrated within the urban regeneration management system of the BAsque Government.
We believe these offices are the perfect fit to generate, test and validate centralised community engagement and particpatory models for urban regeneration projects integrating NEB principles.
