Research Coordinator at Smart Buildings & socio-technical and economic aspects

About

I am currently supporting the preparation of a Horizon Europe proposal that FinEst Centre plans to coordinate under HORIZON-CL5-2026-09-D4-01, together with Dr. Noman Shabbir (listed for this session but not making it).

The project idea focuses on understanding how smart building technologies perform in real-life conditions, and how technical, behavioural, social and economic factors influence energy performance, user comfort, health and well-being. We aim to build a consortium with strong research, technical and pilot-site capabilities across Europe.

At this matchmaking event, I am looking to connect with partners who can contribute to pilot buildings, user research, behavioural and economic analysis, smart building systems, energy data analytics, architecture, facility management, sustainability assessment, and exploitation of project results.

We are looking to connect with potential consortium partners, especially:

Building owners and facility managers with access to real pilot buildings

Partners able to provide pilot sites in different European countries

SSH researchers in behaviour, sociology, user studies, economics or public policy

Smart building technology, IoT, BMS and digital monitoring providers

Energy analytics, modelling and data experts

Architects, building designers and sustainability consultants

LCA / whole-life-cycle assessment experts

Organisations with Horizon Europe, Built4People, standardisation or exploitation experience
