Arts and Cultural Heritage School, New Vision University
About
New Vision University (NVU) is a civic, non-profit institution founded in 2013 and based in Tbilisi, Georgia. With a student community representing over 87 countries and a broad portfolio of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs, NVU is one of Georgia's most internationally oriented universities. The institution is a member of the Erasmus+ programme and maintains active academic partnerships across Europe. Its mission - to expand human vision through education, research and innovation - is anchored in the principles of social responsibility, sustainability and equal access to knowledge.
The School of Arts and Cultural Heritage is NVU's newest academic unit, established in 2025 under the founding deanship of Dr. Levan Kharatishvili. The School sits at the intersection of cultural policy, heritage studies, creative industries and sustainable development, and reflects Georgia's unique position as a country of exceptional cultural depth at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.
The School's flagship programme - a BA in Sustainable Culture, Heritage and Innovation (launching September 2026) - is designed to equip graduates with the tools to navigate the evolving landscape of cultural heritage management, creative economy, and cultural diplomacy. The curriculum integrates European best practices with South Caucasus regional perspectives, drawing on partnerships with international organisations including IGCAT, the Council of Europe Cultural Routes programme, and leading European universities.
The School is actively seeking research and project partnerships within the Horizon Europe framework, particularly under Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society, and welcomes collaboration with institutions across Europe and the Eastern Partnership region.
