About
Founded in 1175, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore) has long played a central role in the scientific, cultural, and social life of its region. Over the centuries, it has grown into a dynamic and multidisciplinary university. Today, Unimore has around 30,000 students and more than 1,400 academic, research, technical, and administrative staff. It operates across Modena and Reggio Emilia, with 13 Departments, 2 Faculties/Schools, accredited degree course sites in Mantua and Carpi, and several interdepartmental centres supporting teaching, research, third mission activities, and technology transfer.
