About

A Mí No Me La Hacen is a Peruvian organization dedicated to promoting Media and Information Literacy (MIL) as a key tool for strengthening critical thinking, democratic participation, and informed citizenship in the digital age.

Founded with the mission of empowering individuals to better understand, analyze, and question the information they consume, the organization develops innovative educational initiatives at the intersection of media, technology, and social impact. Its work responds to the growing challenges posed by misinformation, disinformation, and the transformation of the media ecosystem.

Through workshops, educational programs, and creative projects, A Mí No Me La Hacen collaborates with schools, universities, cultural institutions, and international partners to foster critical engagement with media. The organization places a strong emphasis on participatory and experiential learning methodologies, encouraging audiences not only to decode information but also to become active and responsible content creators.

In 2021, the organization was recognized with a Media and Information Literacy award by UNESCO, highlighting its contribution to advancing innovative approaches to MIL in Latin America.

One of its flagship projects is Infodemic, an educational video game co-produced with the studio Hermanos Magia. Designed as an immersive learning tool, the game places players in the role of a journalist navigating the complexities of information production, offering a hands-on approach to understanding the dynamics of misinformation and media ethics. A playable beta version has already been successfully implemented in educational contexts in Peru.

Beyond individual projects, A Mí No Me La Hacen is committed to building bridges between regions, particularly between Latin America and Europe, to share knowledge, methodologies, and tools for media education. It actively seeks international collaborations to scale its initiatives, adapt them to new cultural contexts, and contribute to a global movement for media literacy.

By combining creative storytelling, digital innovation, and educational expertise, A Mí No Me La Hacen positions itself as a forward-thinking actor in the field of media and information literacy, working towards more resilient, informed, and critically engaged societies.
