About

The Kharkiv School of Architecture (KhSA) is the first private university in Ukraine to offer undergraduate (BA) and graduate (MA) degree opportunities in architecture and urbanism.

The School meets European standards in architectural training and implements the latest educational approaches in Ukraine. The BA and MA degree programmes in 191 “Architecture and Urban Planning” are licensed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. In autumn 2022, the BA degree programme was successfully accredited.

Founded in 2017 to respond to the social transformations and the need to reinvent Ukrainian cities and to reform national higher education, the School has set the goal to equip its students with globally-informed and locally-relevant knowledge to improve the quality of urban life.

It uses the internationally-recognised format of Studio training and collaborates with the leading architectural schools of Europe and visiting professionals to maintain high standards in education and provide competitive qualifications for its graduates. The KhSA introduces the young generation to the world of architecture through interaction with the professional communities of its supporters and partners, who make important contributions to the discourse focusing on Ukraine’s urban environment.
