Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) is a top ranked university and in the top 10 of Horizon Europe. The Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) is a world leader in product, service and social design. It currently has about 200 staff members, 140 PhD students, and a student body of more than 2.000 students and over 8.000 alumni in key positions in the industry.
IDE focuses on research that integrates People, Business and Technology, and provides excellent facilities for reaching this integration by having a large number of labs that allows for conceptualisation, prototype development, testing and validation with end-users and close collaborations with industry, public sector and NGO's across the globe.
Although IDE’s research strategy does not limit its application areas, the faculty has substantial mass on the Societal Challenges of Sustainability, Health, Mobility and AI.
