About
Metahry s.r.o. is a Slovak educational technology company developing digital learning games that build cognitive and metacognitive skills in preschool and early school-age children. We bring together insights from developmental psychology, pedagogy, and game design to transform screen time into calm, active, and cognitively engaging learning.
At the core of our portfolio is Umio — an adaptive, story-led digital tool that supports the development of early literacy, cognition, and metacognition ("learning to learn") in children aged 2–5, with a focus on healthy screen habits, emotional regulation, and parental mediation. Umio is grounded in cognitive-science research and built by a multidisciplinary team of educators, researchers, and game designers, and tested with kindergartens, parents, and educators.
