Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (CPU) is a public research university in Slovakia founded in 1996, building on the tradition of the Pedagogical Institute established in 1959. The university has developed into a multidisciplinary institution providing education and research in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and teacher education. CPU is actively engaged in international cooperation and participates in numerous European and international research and mobility programmes. Its research focuses on areas such as cultural and literary studies, media and communication, digital humanities, education, and social sciences.
