About
La Cloche was founded on a simple observation: access to basic services is just as important as respect for dignity for people experiencing severe hardship. Created in 2015 in Paris, it is a non-profit organization recognized as being of general interest and is now present in major cities across France.
Our mission: to tackle social exclusion among people facing severe hardship through social connection and inclusive volunteering, with the belief that everyone has a role to play.**
Our values:
-
We believe in local solidarity between shopkeepers and neighbors, with or without housing, to strengthen inclusion within communities.
-
We believe in the power of “doing together” (inclusive volunteering, inclusive governance), rather than “doing for,” as a way to foster participation and help people regain dignity.
-
We believe in cooperation and collective action as sources of joy and positive energy to drive our work forward.
