MaaSLab can directly contribute to all three expected outcomes of the call:

1. Understanding competences needed for the green transition

• Identification and classification of green and digital competences related to:

  • Sustainable mobility and transport services

  • Digital public services (e.g. data use, platform literacy)

  • Behavioural change and user engagement

• Empirical analysis of skills gaps across different groups of workers and young people, including vulnerable groups.

2. Actionable advice for education, training and policy

• Evidence‑based guidance on:

  • Education and training programmes that foster green-transition competences

  • Policy measures enabling lifelong acquisition of these competences

• Analysis of gender and disability dimensions in access to training and skills development.

• Translation of research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for policymakers and training providers.

3️⃣ Linking green and digital transition competences

• Research on the interconnections between green competences and digital skills, particularly:

  • Digital literacy for climate‑neutral practices

  • Data and platform skills enabling sustainable behaviours

• Policy guidance on how to jointly address green and digital competence development, avoiding fragmented approaches.
