About
Partner Organisation for Biodiversity Governance Outreach In connection with HORIZON-CL2-2026-01-DEMOCRACY-06 — Governing Global Commons Sustainably
We are seeking to connect with organisations that can strengthen the societal engagement and outreach dimensions of a proposal under the Horizon Europe call on governing global commons sustainably, with a specific focus on biodiversity governance.
This call requires projects to contribute to a better shared understanding - among civil society organisations and other societal actors - of the systemic challenges and underlying drivers that undermine the sustainable management of global commons.
We are therefore looking for organisations with established networks and demonstrated ties to environmental grassroots movements, both in Europe and in the Global South. Ideal partners bring hands-on experience in participatory awareness-raising, community education, or capacity-building around environmental governance, and can connect the findings of a Horizon research project to the people and places where biodiversity governance decisions have real consequences.
The call specifically addresses Area B on Biodiversity Governance, making it essential that our consortium includes voices from civil society that can translate complex multilateral frameworks – such as the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework – into meaningful local engagement and informed public participation.
Whether through community workshops, grassroots mobilisation, or cross-regional knowledge exchange, we are looking for partners who can anchor our project's dissemination and educational activities in lived experience and local legitimacy – in the Global South as much as in Europe.
=> If your organisation works at this intersection, we would welcome a conversation about joining the consortium.
