Welcome to the NCC-IT Matchmaking Event - ECSC 2024!
The National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) in its role of National Coordination Centre for Italy (NCC-IT) organises this first matchmaking session between the startups from the portfolio of the Cyber Innovation Network (CIN) Operators’ and investors, partners from industry and potential final users. This event is organized within the European Cyber Security Challenge 2024, the annual initiative by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) that this year takes place in Turin from 8th to 11th October 2024.
The ACN has been appointed as National Coordination Centre for Italy (NCC-IT) by Regulation (EU) 2021/887 which has established the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) and the Network of National Coordination Centres among the Member States (NCCs).
What's the role of the Cyber Innovation Network?
The Cyber Innovation Network is the ACN strategic program to support the development of cutting-edge startups.
This program, leveraging the experience of selected national incubation and acceleration operators, aims to foster the innovation and the industrial strengthening of the national economic system, by scaling-up research, facilitating technology transfer and developing new innovative products to meet the needs of the market.
How the NCC-IT supporting the european cybersecurity system?
The NCC-IT supports the ECCC in fulfilling its mission of strengthening the strategic autonomy of the Union in cybersecurity while supporting its technological capacities, tools and knowledge.
To this end, the ECCC is responsible for the cybersecurity parts of the European funding programmes Digital Europe (DEP) and Horizon Europe.
Therefore, the NCC-IT acts as the main national point of contact between the national cybersecurity ecosystem and the ECCC, encouraging and supporting the national participation in the funding opportunities provided by the EU while fostering synergies among national stakeholders.
