About
Over the past year, we have engaged in a significant collaboration with AITEX and the Joint Research Centre, focusing on Life Cycle Costing (LCC) within the textile apparel sector for products eco-design. This project, commissioned by the European Commission, aims to enhance sustainability and economic efficiency in textile production. Our joint efforts have facilitated in-depth analysis and innovative strategies to assess costs associated with textile apparel products along their life cycle. By integrating environmental and economic dimensions, which also includes assessments of externalities, we are striving to provide comprehensive insights that support informed decision-making within the industry and policy makers. We are excited about the potential impact of our findings on the textile apparel value chain, and we look forward to further advancements in this sector to enable more sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
