PakEdX is an educational technology venture founded by Dr. Muhammad Tayyab Ilyas, a PhD researcher in Educational Technology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain. The company builds AI-powered learning platforms designed specifically for the needs of higher education institutions in Pakistan and across the Global South. Our work sits at the intersection of three disciplines that rarely talk to each other well enough. Rigorous educational research. Scalable technology. And the lived realities of teachers and students in resource-constrained environments. PakEdX develops intelligent learning systems that integrate learning analytics, educational data mining, and AI-driven personalisation to support both teachers and learners. Our approach is grounded in a decade of academic research on pedagogical digital competence, focusing on what actually works when educators adopt technology in their classrooms rather than what looks good in a vendor pitch. We are building tools that help universities understand how their students learn, where they struggle, and how to intervene meaningfully. Our platforms combine LMS integration, automated assessment, and AI-assisted content delivery to make quality education more accessible and effective at scale.
