International cooperation: the need to move faster from research excellence to the market. It combines strong support for industrial roadmaps with new mechanisms to encourage breakthrough innovation. The former will strengthen medium and long-term commitment to industrial strategies and ensure continuity and stability.

The latter will offer skills and openness, help develop dynamic ecosystems in which innovators can operate. All products and related components will require the involvement of new actors, on the one hand to exploit and use new technologies and on the other hand to initiate and drive change. In this way, not only are sources of new ideas and expertise provided – it is equally important to ensure that European scientists are able to collaborate with the best in the field worldwide. To ensure that it can evolve towards a new net zero emission paradigm, without compromising other environmental and social goals, both in the EU and globally. Our ability to achieve the climate neutrality goal depends directly on our ability to innovate.
