UV disinfection of foodstuff

In the Food Analysis research group of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Food Science, we specialise in developing innovative methods for the disinfection of foodstuffs without compromising their quality using UV-C light. We are open to collaboration with industry and other research groups to develop and scale-up laboratory-scaled reactors and to develop more efficient and matrix-adapted designs. Other relevant aspects, such as toxins or pesticide residue reduction, could also be addressed.
