About
The objective of the University Center for Small Business is to establish and strengthen connections and joint efforts between the University—through its Laboratories, Institutes, and Research Centers, which generate knowledge—and the productive sector, which comprises companies, for better utilization of knowledge in support of productive and economic development in the region and the well-being of the entire community. This is achieved with the State as a support channel and a financing tool, creating a virtuous circle for society as a whole.
This Center is made up of a multidisciplinary team of professionals from various academic units of the University, promoting the generation and transfer of knowledge to and from both sectors.
The main areas of work are based on the following action lines:
• Collaborating in the identification of topics for economic situation reports.
• Organizing training activities for Small Business in the region.
• Supporting the adoption of new technologies and innovations in production.
• Identifying innovation projects to enhance competitiveness and productivity.
