One of the most active research centers of the Kadir Has University is the Center for Energy and Sustainable Development (CESD), which was established in 2015 for the purpose of contributing interdisciplinary research and development in energy transition. CESD particularly conducts multidisciplinary research in sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities to propose new solutions to the energy problems facing Turkey and the world. The center also aims at creating awareness on the relationship between energy and sustainable development and thus, influencing both national and international public opinion, as well as policy-makers and legislators through dissemination of its research activities. Six of the projects carried out at the center have been funded by the European Union H2020 program.
