About

Project Quintessence is a small international research-first clinical AI initiative focused on building medical AI systems and foundation models that can be tested, questioned, validated, and improved before deployment.

We work across multimodal medicine, clinical language models, agentic AI systems, predictive modelling, medical imaging, and physiologic world models. Our emphasis is not only on model performance, but on clinical correctness, evidence traceability, calibration, uncertainty, robustness, and usability in real medical workflows.

Current research directions include clinical NLP and LLM evaluation, specialist AI agents, forecasting and risk prediction, chest X-ray and image-text modelling, and patient-state models that connect physiology, time, interventions, and outcomes.

For MSCA Doctoral Networks, Project Quintessence is interested in collaborations with universities, hospitals, research groups, and technical partners working on high-impact, evidence-grounded clinical AI. We can contribute clinical insight, machine learning engineering, model evaluation, reproducible research infrastructure, and validation-oriented project design.
