AI for Speech, Hearing and Human Communication
Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow at Universidad de Granada
Granada, Spain
About
I offer expertise in AI-driven speech, audio, and hearing technologies, combining machine learning, signal processing, psychoacoustics, and experimental research methods.
My research addresses the development and evaluation of human-centred communication technologies, including speech enhancement, speech intelligibility assessment, hearing assistive technologies, voice biometrics, audio deepfake detection, singing voice processing, and brain-computer interfaces. I have experience designing and conducting interdisciplinary research involving engineering, psychology, neuroscience, healthcare, and digital technologies.
I am particularly interested in contributing to projects focused on:
• AI for health and wellbeing
• Accessibility and digital inclusion
• Trustworthy and human-centred AI
• Hearing and communication technologies
• Human-computer interaction
• Digital health and assistive technologies
• Advanced speech and audio processing
I welcome collaborations within MSCA Doctoral Networks and other Horizon Europe initiatives, including the co-design of doctoral training programmes, interdisciplinary research activities, secondments, open science practices, and industry-academia collaboration schemes.
Potential contributions include methodological expertise, supervision of doctoral candidates, experimental design, data analysis, AI development, speech and hearing technology evaluation, and the integration of technical and human-centred perspectives in interdisciplinary research projects.
