This excursion covers traffic infrastructure and control, including visits to a Traffic Control Center, mobil.LAB for C-ITS, and Frequentis to explore mission-critical public transport communication.

EXCURSION - COOL & GREEN STREETS, TRAFFIC CALMED SECTORS, PEDESTRIAN ZONES, TRANSFORMATIVE PUBLIC SPACES

The tour showcases Vienna’s innovative mobility and public space projects, from Donau City and the Bike Mile to the Nordwestbahnviertel and Mariahilferstraße, highlighting people-centered design, livability, and climate-resilient urban transformation.

EXCURSION - RAIL OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE AND HIGH-TECH FUTURE COMMUNICATION (FRMCS)

The program includes an ÖBB workshop on automatic coupling systems, visits to Plasser & Theurer for predictive track maintenance, and Frequentis for public-transport communication, including terminals, ops centers, crisis management, FRMCS, etc.

EXCURSION - INTRA LOGISTICS & INLAND PORT AND CITY LOGISTIC HUB VIENNA

This excursion includes visits to SPAR’s intralogistics facilities and the Inland Port and City Logistic Hub Vienna, with a focus on transport coordination, intermodal infrastructure, and warehouse processes.
