LIP6 - Sorbonne Université
About
LIP6 is a computer science research laboratory, hosted by Sorbonne Université and co-managed by CNRS, with approximately 450 members, including over 170 permanent researchers and faculty members.
Its research activities are conducted within eighteen teams organized around four cross-cutting themes:
-
Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
-
Architecture, Systems, and Networks
-
Security, Safety, and Reliability
-
Mathematical Theory and Tools for Computer Science
From electronics to artificial intelligence, including quantum information, computer security, symbolic computation, and systems/networks, the laboratory covers almost the entire spectrum of computer science. Specifically, it focuses on modeling and solving fundamental computer science problems driven by their applications, as well as implementing and validating solutions to these problems through numerous academic and industrial partnerships.
The sectors representing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), e-health, finance, energy, defense, education, transport and space are all industrial anchor points that motivate our research, teaching and collaborations.
