Mission Ocean and Waters Governance: From pathway to best case scenario

In two previous foresight workshops, we discussed with relevant stakeholders gaps and needs for good implementation of the Mission Ocean and Waters in the BANOS region at the governance level and developed a storyboard. In this third and final workshop of the BlueMissionBANOS project, we would like to work with the participants to develop best-case scenarios on what good governance of the Mission Ocean and Waters could look like at different scales, which should be future-oriented and practically applicable. 

The following research questions are central: 

1. What suitable structures do we need at national, regional and municipal level in order to implement the mission objectives well in the 2nd phase (deployment phase)? (Discussing the downscaling – upscaling principle) 

2. Can the Ocean Pact close the regulatory gaps we identified in BlueMissionBANOS?  What can BlueMissionBANOS do to support the Ocean Pact? 

3. From governance's point of view, what is still needed to develop policy action plans?
