Pierre Ingmarsson leads Blue Economy Business Development & Innovation at IVL, focusing on turning sustainability into scalable business. With nearly two decades of experience in product development, project management, and applied research, Pierre works at the intersection of science, industry, and policy. He specializes in building partnerships that move ideas from research into real-world impact—particularly within marine and water-based sectors.

Over the past decade, he has led and developed more than 40 research and innovation projects across Europe while contributing to shaping European roadmaps and strategic research agendas within the blue economy. Pierre brings a systems perspective and a hands-on approach to complex challenges, connecting industry needs with research capabilities, shaping strategic direction, and driving initiatives that help organizations innovate, adapt and lead in the transition to a sustainable blue economy.
