The Canary Islands Maritime Cluster (CMC) is a non-profit association of regional area, created in 2008, whose main objective is to promote the development and international competitiveness of the Canary Islands Marine Maritime Sector.
Also CMC is an Innovative Business Group recognised by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, for boosting innovation in the marine-maritime sector of the Canary Islands region.
The CMC supports the internationalisation strategies of companies within the Blue Economy. The CMC brings together more than 100 members, including large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, research organisations, universities, technology centres, and other entities and administrations linked to the ecosystem. Its business areas integrate agents of the marine-maritime value chain such as: ship repair, maritime transport, port services, marine biotechnology, recreational and sports boating, fishing and aquaculture, tourism, marine renewable energies, and auxiliary maritime services.
