About
I'm a winemaker from northern Puglia, operating in the historic land of Arpi, founded in 1800 BC by King Diomedes. My mission is to revive the excellence of his wines, blending tradition and sustainability. Here’s how I organize my winery:
-
Vineyards: I cultivate Primitivo, Nero di Troia, Aglianico, Falanghina, Bombino Bianco, and Fiano using traditional and sustainable methods. I oversee a team of viticulturists for manual harvesting.
-
Winery: My winery uses stainless steel tanks and oak barriques. With an enologist, I manage vinification to highlight each variety’s uniqueness.
-
Management: I lead the winery, supported by a small staff handling accounting, certifications, and logistics. I promote my wines with brochures narrating Arpi’s history.
-
Sales: I sell to wine shops, restaurants, and international Ho.Re.Ca distributors, organize tastings, and attend fairs like Vinitaly. I personally manage key clients.
-
Sustainability: I use renewable energy and protect biodiversity, innovating while preserving tradition, e.g., planting legumes between vineyard rows to provide nitrogen to the vines.
-
Structure: A family-run winery with 5 staff members, plus seasonal workers, focused on artisanal quality.
Philosophy: Each bottle tells the story of Puglia and King Diomedes’ legacy, with my wines expressing history and tradition in every sip.
