SIMPLE STORY OF AN EXTRAORDINARY DESSERT

The 'Offelle di Parona' delicate shortbread biscuits with a unique flavour. Its origins date back to the late 1800s when the product, slightly different from the current one, was still homemade. In small rural towns, in fact, 'prestinai' and housewives dedicated themselves to churning out, from time to time, sweets and delicacies to be packaged and sold during the holidays.

At the beginning of the 20th century, in Parona, on the occasion of the feast of the Madonna del Rosario and the village festival (first Sunday of October), housewives loved to prepare the "Offelle" to be enjoyed by diners who reached the village to spend hours of serene joy among relatives and friends. Although the advertising media were certainly not those of today, the Offelle di Parona boasted, already in that period, great notoriety.

The secret of such success was determined by the genuine ingredients, their perfect dosage and the successful cooking. A recipe that has been jealously guarded by the Forno F.lli Collivasone which still produces offelle with the same genuine ingredients and with the same artisan love.

INGREDIENTS: Soft wheat flour "0", Butter (milk), Sugar, Whole eggs, Olive oil, Raising agents. Without preservatives, additives and flavorings. Shelf life of 12 months.

Tasting tips: the Offelle di Parona are delicious au naturel, accompanied by a chocolate, a cappuccino, coffee and tea.

They can be a delicious dessert if dipped in a sweet, dry or fortified sparkling wine/wine or accompanied by a delicious custard.

Production Capacity: We serve all distribution channels in Italy; although we are an artisan company, we also produce branded products for large-scale distribution.
