Research project "MEDICAPS" – Seeking an industrial partner for GMP manufacturing of drug-delivery microcapsules
Ingénieure développement partenarial at Université de Lorraine - UNYS
Nancy, France
About
MEDICAPS is a research project developing a new therapeutic approach for cancer treatment based on implantable bioresorbable microcapsules containing chemotherapy.
The microcapsules feature a micrometric perforation that enables slow and controlled release of the active substance over several weeks or months. They can be implanted directly into tumors, allowing a high local drug concentration while minimizing its concentration in the bloodstream and therefore limiting systemic effects.
The technology has already undergone preclinical evaluation and is protected by patents.
We are looking for an industrial/pharmaceutical partner with GMP manufacturing capabilities to support the production of these microcapsules and the next steps toward clinical development.
We are interested in meeting companies with expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, microencapsulation, drug-delivery systems, or related GMP production processes.
