Clust-ER Health is the association recognized and supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region, created to foster the development of innovation projects and policies in the Health and Wellness sector, which is recognized as a strategic sector for regional development, and to maximize the social and economic spin-offs of these projects in the regional territory. Joining the Health Clust-ER are Large Enterprises, SMEs, Universities, Research Centers, Health Care Facilities, Training Institutions and Patient Associations that share skills, ideas and resources to support the competitiveness of Emilia-Romagna's Health and Wellness Industries sector. The purpose of Clust-ER Health is to support the economy of the Emilia-Romagna region by activating all the actors of the different value chains in the development of the regional innovation strategy. There are 4 value chains on which Clust-ER Health has prioritized its intervention: Next-generation biomedical and prosthetics; Regenerative, restorative and replacement medicine; Pharmaceutical development and “omics”; and Technologies for healthy, independent and active living.
