Network-Based Drug Repurposing and Indication Expansion
Group Leader at Fondazione The Microsoft Research -University of Trento Centre for Computational and Systems Biology

About
COSBI provides network-based drug repurposing and indication-expansion analyses by integrating human genetics, omics, biomedical literature, known drug targets, pathways and drug- or disease-related transcriptomic signatures. Candidates are ranked using transparent multi-evidence criteria, including mechanistic relevance, network proximity and strength of supporting evidence. The approach can support rare-disease strategy, portfolio prioritization, combination hypotheses and the identification of new opportunities for existing compounds or early-stage assets. Deliverables can include ranked candidate lists, evidence matrices, mechanism-of-action context, network visualizations and recommendations for experimental follow-up. We are interested in working with biotech and pharmaceutical companies, technology-transfer offices, research groups and disease foundations with a defined asset, portfolio or indication question.
