Margalona Tea Cultural Tour

“Margalona Tea” was established in 2016 in the village of Taleri, Martvili Municipality. The company owns a factory equipped with modern standards and its own 40 hectares of tea plantations. Tea plantation is located in Tekhura river gorge, 380 meters above sea level.

 “Margalona tea” is focused to produce organic products. It is important that the highest quality tea leaves are harvested by hand in the plantation every year, from which the company produces different types of natural Georgian tea. Each type of tea is characterized by a distinctive aroma and refined taste.

Services typically offered in a 1.5-hour Tea Cultural Tour:

Also in Samegrelo, tea lovers will visit the Dadiani House Museum, Botanical Garden and café “Aq dadian”, where they will be able to taste different types of Georgian tea. They will also get acquainted with the history and cultural heritage of Samegrelo. Martvili tea factory will be visited in Martvili. They will get acquainted with the activities of the Tea Producers Association and tea tasting will be organized.

Here they will visit Martvili Canyon, and then, in Tsalenjikha, they will visit the plantations of the company "Lazi", the tea factory and the unique Enguri dam, and from there, if they wish, they can also visit the unique lakes of Tobavarchkhil and temporary "border" with Abkhazia, that is occupied part of Georgia .
