INEGI is an industry-oriented Research and Technology Organization (RTO) with an organizational structure based on three pillars of activity: research with applied focus, innovation and technology transfer and consulting and advanced engineering and training services. The research activity covers the areas of new technologies for advanced production processes, experimental mechanics, applied mechanics, energy, new materials, development of new products and systems and biomechanics. 

BIOMECHANICS AND HEALTH GROUP

The Biomechanics and Health Group at INEGI promotes research and innovation at the interface of health, well-being, and human-centricity, transferring knowledge across health and industrial contexts. Our activities are driven by the ambition to integrate advanced digital technologies with human creativity, enabling new forms of human-technology collaboration. For health, we address key challenges such as the development of virtual human twins of organs, tissues, and cells, for biomedical research and clinical application, development of novel biomaterials through 3D Printing, design of Artificial Intelligence models for disease prevention, electromechanical design of medical devices, wearables for health monitoring and rehabilitation, telemedicine, physiotherapy, among others. We apply our tools to a comprehensive range of medical fields.
