Alentic Microscience Inc.

Alentic Microscience has developed a highly compact portable platform technology for a wide range of rapid veterinary and human medical in vitro diagnostic tests at the point of need.  Our fully autonomous easy-to-use system can carry out economical and accurate complete blood counts with 5-part leukocyte differential in under 7 minutes, as well as multiplexed immunoassays, serology, immunocytometry/immunophenotyping, clinical chemistry and more in under 20 minutes, on less than a drop of whole blood or other specimen, anywhere.  An earlier version of our system is operational on the International Space Station, and we developed a radiation biodosimetry triage application on our system for the US government agency BARDA. Many other applications are possible.

The devices, and the proprietary enabling technology, have a wide range of potential uses beyond in vitro diagnostics, including industrial particle analysis, bioprocess control, wear analysis, etc.  Cells and microorganisms can be easily kept alive on the device, and their behaviour monitored for extended periods.
