Cankaya University

Çankaya University is a private, non-profit university in Turkey – was founded on August 27, 1997, with the fundamental aim of creating a centre of excellence in higher education and research. The University campus is located on the main highway to Eskişehir about 29 km. west of the centre of Ankara. Çankaya University has 5 faculties(Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Law) with 21 departments; two institutes with 26 postgraduate master programs and 9 Ph.D. programs; 2 vocational schools with 4 programs; and one English preparatory school to support English language education. There are several teaching and research laboratories with an area of 1538 m2. Research laboratories include Nanotechnology Research Laboratory (NanoTAL), Optics and Photonics Research Laboratory(OFAL), Robotics and Electrical Machines Laboratory, Parallel and Scientific Computing Laboratory, Game Research and Development Laboratory, CUDA Teaching Centre, and Spatial & Medical Modelling and Simulation Laboratory. Moreover, our university has Technology Transfer Office that supports and extends the scope of innovative projects. Çankaya University plays an active role in a range of international exchange and co-operation programs involving universities from all around the world, both in teaching and research. Across the university, diverse research projects have been carried out.
