Extremadura Avante

Established on December 31, 2010, Extremadura Avante, S.L.U. is a public enterprise company of the Government of Extremadura (Spain), attached to the regional Ministry of Economy, Employment and Digital Transformation.

Our mission is to serve companies and economic agents in Extremadura, supporting their development at all stages—to make them more competitive locally, nationally, and internationally—and to assist the regional government in carrying out its business policy.

Key functions and services

1. Financial support and investment
   Extremadura Avante provides financial backing via various instruments (direct investment, participative loans, guarantees, etc.), aimed at both new ventures and existing companies undergoing expansion, internationalization, or innovation.

2. Infrastructure provision
   We develop, manage, and commercialize industrial and logistical infrastructures: industrial parks, business and logistics areas, business incubators, and also promote and facilitate available industrial land for firms to locate their operations.

3. Support for competitiveness, innovation, and internationalization
   Extremadura Avante helps traditional, emerging, and strategic sectors in Extremadura to improve their competitiveness through innovation, commercialization support, and export/internationalization services. We maintain a network of foreign trade delegates (“Red Exterior”) to aid firms exploring or expanding into foreign markets.

4. Entrepreneurship and business incubation
   We offer guidance, specialized advice, and support services for entrepreneurs and very small businesses (micro-enterprises). This includes help identifying funding sources, business planning, mentoring, and other resources to help startups get off the ground.

5. Logistics and connectivity
   Through our subsidiary Extremadura Avante Logística, manage key intermodal and freight railway terminals (e.g. Badajoz, Mérida, Navalmoral de la Mata), which improve the movement of goods, reduction of costs, and sustainability. These infrastructures help integrate Extremadura into broader supply chains and international trade routes.
